Day for Stray: Summer Stray Relief Drive

The Summer Stray Relief Drive is a collaborative event where volunteers across Delhi NCR will come together to create Shaded Kindness Corners—providing water, shade, and compassion for the stray animals who need it most.

Event Highlights:

• 🐶 Parallel Micro-Events: Across South Delhi, Central Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida

• 💧 Relief Focus: Shaded water stations and kindness corners for stray animals

• 🌸 Open to All: This event welcomes individuals, RWAs, shopkeepers, vendors, college students, and anyone with a heart for the cause

• 🎉 Shoutouts & Recognition: Volunteers with the best creativity or impact per region will be recognized with a shoutout and a certificate!

Your Role on the Day:

• Arrive at the meeting point in your region at 9:00 AM.

• Meet the tribe and plan action, delegate roles.

• Set up your shaded kindness corner: Use the materials you bring (or those supplied by community donors) to create a water and shade station for the strays.

• Engage with the community: Inform people passing by about the initiative, invite them to participate, and spread kindness.

• Document the event: Take photos/videos to share updates on our central WhatsApp group and on social media.

• Share updates in real-time via the WhatsApp group. Let’s inspire others through your experience!

What can you Bring:

• Essentials: 2–3 plastic bowls, old umbrellas or tarps, thick cardboard sheets or jute sacks, bricks/stones for stability

• Stationery: Chart paper, markers, crayons, or any other creative materials to make the sign boards.

• Community Help: Request local vendors or tea shops for water cans, fruit vendors for scraps, or ask your community for old cloth, tarps, and signage materials.
