Step out of the endless cycle of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and embrace the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO). This transformative meetup is designed to help participants reconnect with their values, focus on what truly matters, and find happiness in their own unique journey. Using the Alter Ego Framework, this session will guide you to shift perspectives, build confidence, and celebrate the beauty of intentional living.


What to Expect

  • Duration: 2.5 hours

  • Structure: Interactive workshop and group activities

  • Audience: Open to anyone experiencing FOMO in personal, professional, or social spheres.

1. Welcome and Icebreaker (15 mins)

  • Share your FOMO stories in a safe, supportive space.

  • Interactive activity: "What Did You Actually Miss?" (reflecting on things you thought you missed but didn’t matter long-term).


2. Understanding FOMO: The Root Cause (20 mins)

  • Brief talk: "Why FOMO Happens in a Hyper-Connected World."

  • Group discussion: The impact of social media, societal pressure, and comparison.


3. Introducing JOMO Through the Alter Ego Framework (30 mins)

  • Step 1: Define Your Ideal Self – Who do you want to be outside the noise of the world?

  • Step 2: Align with Core Values – Discover what truly brings you joy and fulfillment.

  • Step 3: Build Confidence in Your Choices – Explore tools to stay confident in saying no.


4. Practical Tools to Shift from FOMO to JOMO (30 mins)

  • Guided journaling exercise: “Moments That Mattered” – Reflecting on when missing out actually brought peace or clarity.

  • Visualization activity: Creating your “JOMO Persona” (your alter ego who thrives in intentional choices).

  • Group activity: "Celebrating Wins" – Sharing one intentional choice you made recently.

  • Building a “JOMO Network” – Connect with like-minded individuals who support mindful living.


6. Closing: Anchoring the Joy (15 mins)
