About the experience

Overview:

Mental health is a universal issue that transcends gender, and together we can build a healthier, more supportive society. Join us for an impactful meetup aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly in men, and creating an open, safe space for everyone.

Whether you’re experiencing mental health challenges or want to be part of the solution, this gathering invites all to come together and share, listen, and learn. Our goal is to foster understanding, empower individuals to speak up, and create lasting change. We believe that mental health is a shared concern, just like feminism—every effort counts toward progress.

Duration:

2 hours

Who is this for

This meetup is open to all—regardless of gender. Just like feminism take efforts from men for better male-female relationships, the same is for men's mental health—because men's mental health is everyone's problem.

What to Expect

  • Breaking the Silence: Open up about the societal pressures and emotional challenges men face, from the “man up” culture to balancing multiple roles.

  • Stories of Resilience: Engage in powerful storytelling and small group discussions to share personal reflections and experiences.

  • Practical Mental Health Tools: Learn actionable techniques for emotional clarity, problem-solving, and expressing your needs.

  • Empowerment Through Alter Ego: Discover how the Alter Ego Framework can help you create a freer version of yourself to handle life’s toughest moments.

  • Building Community: Connect with like-minded individuals to form a supportive network and reduce feelings of isolation.

Agenda

  1. Welcome & Setting the Tone: Introduction to the session and guidelines for creating a safe, inclusive space.

  2. Breaking Barriers: Share personal reflections and explore the societal expectations placed on men.

  3. Building Resilience: Learn how the Alter Ego Framework can help create a freer, more self-assured identity to face life’s challenges.

  4. Practical Mindset Strategies: Hands-on exercises for mindfulness, journaling, and daily habits that are made fun using storytelling and role play activities.

  5. Closing & Community: Share final reflections, and build connections with other participants.

Why This Works:

  1. Safe Space: Encourages open discussions about topics often stigmatized.

  2. Alter Ego Framework: Empowers men to reframe challenges and embrace vulnerability as strength using science of storytelling.

  3. Actionable Tools: Provides 80+ practical strategies participants can implement immediately.

  4. Community: Fosters connection and reduces feelings of isolation.

This meetup helps men acknowledge their struggles, find strength in their vulnerability, and build a supportive community to champion mental health awareness.
