About the experience

Remember when ...

We used to scribble on notebook covers?

Or draw on newspapers, textbooks, and any blank space we could find?

We weren't trying to make art.

We were simply curious.

We were imagining, creating, and making things up as we went.

Art & Act brings back that same spirit... but with more intent.

Art & Act combines Scroodle (Scribble + Doodle= Scroodle) Art and theatre by Satyanarayan Govind designed to help you think originally, imagine freely, and express fearlessly.

You don’t need to be an artist.

You don’t need to be an actor.

Just bring your imagination.

What we'll do : Create, Narrate, Act, and Celebrate

Create

Turn a simple scribble into an original character called a Jantoo.

Narrate

Give your character a name, personality, and story.

Act

Bring your Jantoo to life through theatre, movement, and expression.

Celebrate

Share your creation with the group.

Meet Your Facilitator: Satyanarayan Govind

Self Caricature by Satya.
Self Caricature by Satya.

Like many of us, Satya grew up scribbling on notebook covers, newspapers, and the margins of textbooks.

What started as a childhood habit became a lifelong creative practice.

Today, with over 20 years of experience as a writer, creative conceptualizer, storyteller, and theatre performer, he helps others rediscover that same curiosity and imagination.

Satya began his career as a freelance journalist and political cartoonist with The Statesman in 2002. Since then, he has created original content for Indian and international audiences, designed creative experiences, and conducted workshops across educational institutions.

He is the creator of Scroodle Art (Scribble + Doodle) and the imaginative world of Jantoos—quirky characters born from simple scribbles and brought alive through stories and performance.

His work has been featured through workshops, caricature projects, academic presentations, theatre, and his graphic novel Darkshaala.

For Satya, creativity is a habit of noticing, imagining, creating, and expressing.

And that's exactly what Art & Act is designed to help you rediscover.
