About the experience

Sometimes the best performances happen when the pressure disappears.

Bejhijhak is a relaxed open mic for first-timers, amateurs, and curious performers. Instead of a stage and silent audience, imagine a room that feels like a group of friends hanging out — sharing music, poetry, stories, and spontaneous collaborations.

Everyone who wants to perform gets 5 minutes to share something.

It could be:

  • A poem you wrote

  • A song you love

  • A short story

  • Stand-up comedy

Spoken word

No expectations.

No judgement.

Just expression.

Jam, Collaborate, Experiment

Bejhijhak is not just about performing — it’s about collaborating.

Your poetry might sound even better with someone playing an acoustic instrument in the background.

Two strangers might end up singing a duet.

Someone might start an impromptu farmaaishi kaaryakram.

And sometimes the whole room joins in for a group jam session.

Games That Bring Everyone In

Even if you're not performing, you're still part of the evening.

We’ll have:

  • Bollywood guessing games

  • The good old Antakshri

  • Music and pop-culture trivia

  • Group sing-alongs

The idea is simple: everyone participates.

Come As You Are

You can join as:

🎤 A performer

👀 An audience member

🤝 Someone who wants to collaborate or jam

At Bejhijhak, the goal isn’t perfection.

It’s simply to show up and express without hesitation.

  • Participants must bring their own instruments and props. Mic will be provided.

  • Performances can be in Hindi or English and can include covers, originals, satires, comedy, poetry, or spoken words. The stage is all yours!
