About the experience
Ever wanted to perform but felt too nervous to take the mic?
This is your space to begin.
Bejhijhak is more than an open mic.
It’s a beginner-friendly, experiential workshop where you use theatre games, improvisation, and performance psychology tools to work through stage fright, quiet your inner critic, and express yourself with more confidence.
Whether you write poetry, sing, tell stories, try stand-up comedy, or simply want to get comfortable being seen and heard, you belong here.
What to expect:
Take the mic: Share your talent, try something new, or cheer on fellow first-timers in a supportive community.
Understand stage fright: Explore the fear of judgment and learn practical ways to work with nervousness.
Play with theatre: Try fun improvisation, voice, and body language exercises.
Find your expression: Practise being yourself without the pressure to be perfect.
Sometimes the best performances happen when the pressure disappears.
Bejhijhak is a relaxed performance space for first-timers, amateurs, and curious performers.
Instead of a stage and silent audience, imagine a room that feels like a group of friends hanging out — sharing music, poetry, stories, and spontaneous collaborations.
You don't have to be confident to begin. You just have to be willing to try.
Come nervous. Leave having tried.
Join Bejhijhak and take your first step towards expressing yourself, one mic at a time.
Jam, Collaborate, Experiment
Bejhijhak is not just about performing; it’s about collaborating.
Your poetry might sound even better with someone playing an acoustic instrument in the background.
Two strangers might end up singing a duet.
Someone might start an impromptu farmaaishi kaaryakram.
And sometimes the whole room joins in for a group jam session like this one:
