About the experience
Most people think a marathon is about running 42 kilometres.
But the hardest marathon is often the one we run within ourselves —
the battle with procrastination, inconsistent health habits, body image struggles, and the stories we carry about our weight and fitness.
Many health journeys fail not because people don’t care about their health, but because the starting point feels too overwhelming.
The 1 KM Marathon is designed to change that.
Instead of chasing extreme fitness goals, we begin with something simple and sustainable:
A 1 kilometre walk.
A Simple Sunday Morning Ritual in Delhi
Every two weeks, we gather early in the morning at India Gate, one of Delhi’s most iconic walking spaces.
We start with an easy 1 km walk together.
As your stamina and confidence grow, you can gradually move to 2 km and 3 km walks over time.
No pressure.
No competition.
No fitness standards to meet.
Just people showing up and building a habit of health together.
More Than Just a Walk
After the walk, we sit together for a guided reflection and conversation.
This is where the real marathon begins.
We talk honestly about things many people struggle with but rarely discuss openly:
• weight struggles and health setbacks
• body image and self-perception
• why health habits start but don’t sustain
• emotional eating and motivation cycles
• building identities that support healthy lifestyles
This conversation is rooted in the Alter Ego framework, which focuses on building sustainable habits through identity change, reasoning, and self-awareness rather than short-term fitness fads.
Because health is not just about becoming fit.
It’s about becoming fulfilled.
Who This Walk Is For
This community is designed for people who:
• want to start a health routine but struggle with consistency
• feel intimidated by traditional fitness programs
• are navigating weight or body image challenges
• want a gentle and thoughtful approach to building healthy habits
• enjoy meaningful conversations and community support
You do not need to be fit to join.
You only need the willingness to start with 1 km.

Format: Community walk + reflection circle

Time: 6:30 AM
Frequency: Every two weeks (Sunday mornings)

• Start with 1 km
• Optional 2 km and 3 km routes as you build stamina
Group Size: Limited to keep conversations meaningful.
Contribution: ₹199 per participant
This supports the facilitation of the reflection circle and helps sustain the community experience.
