HOW DOES THE PURPOSE WALK WORK?

Tucked behind the bustling metal market of West Delhi, the Mayapuri slum is home to hundreds of families—many working in scrap, labor, and informal trades. Narrow lanes, makeshift homes, and under-resourced schools paint a clear picture: potential is everywhere, but opportunity is not.

We met teens who’ve left school and work in the factories of Mayapuri.
​
We also visited an Anganwadi and met anganwadi workers to uncover the real challenges behind dropout rates, malnutrition, and gender gaps.
​

The Futures of India is a A Little Love (Alter Ego's mother brand) project that empowers underprivileged children through free tuition, sports and extracurricular training, health and awareness campaigns, and career counseling. The initiative promotes holistic development and strives to build a brighter future for underprivileged children in underserved areas. We also work for the inclusivity of education and work for Autism and other intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities.
Jivisha is a skilling and employment program by A Little Love to foster women's financial independence. We personalize training and skilling programs for each individual to help them find and hone an employable skill. Currently, we have a Jivisha Skilling and Empowerment Centre in Sector 4, Noida
